Meet Dr. Edna Aurelus
Dr. Aurelus has extensive experience in psychiatric mental health. She has worked at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital and with the Department of Corrections, Perryville Prison, which is the only female prison in Arizona. Her doctoral research focused on weight gain prevention induced by antipsychotic medications. Dr. Aurelus is the author of multiple peer-reviewed researched articles. Among them, "A Decade of Cirrhosis", the study for which she was the recipient of the competitive Maureen Robinson Faculty Fellowship 2019-2020. She presented this study in Haiti, as well as Athens, Greece during a week conference, where she also chaired a session. She is extremely passionate about community and global health in addition to her primary and psychiatric health passion.
